Hospital Visiting Hours and Policies
Reaching a patient by telephone
We’ve made it easier than ever to connect with your loved one while he or she is a patient at Genesis. Simply call our Patient Connect line at 740-450-6350, and enter your loved one’s room number when prompted. Your call will immediately be transferred to the patient’s room. If you’re not sure of a room number, you can call patient information at 740-454-4225.
Tobacco-free environment, no smoking permitted
Genesis HealthCare System supports the health and well-being of our patients, visitors, employees and our community by offering a tobacco-free environment throughout its facilities and partner companies.
Tobacco use is not allowed in the hospital and surrounding areas, including parking lots. If you're coming to Genesis as a patient who uses tobacco, we encourage you to talk with your physician about alternatives, such as nicotine replacement therapy, lozenges or gum that can make you more comfortable while in our care. Visitors may be offered nicotine gum at our information desk in our main lobby and in the emergency department.

Visiting Hours*
Critical Care Unit (CCU) Visitation
- Family and friends over the age of 12 are welcome to visit between 8 a.m. and 9 pm. A patient is allowed up to four visitors at a time.
Emergency Department
- All visitors must check in at the front desk to receive a visitor pass.
Labor and Delivery
- During labor, no more than 2 visitors are permitted in the room. Visitors may trade off until doctor is
called for delivery. Main support person counts as 1 of the 2 visitors and will check in at the front desk of
2E to obtain a visitor badge.
Mother Baby Unit
- General visitation hours are 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- One designated support person may be present 24/7. Each patient may have 3 visitors at a time.
Visitors will check in and out at the front desk of 2E and obtain a visitor badge. The main support person
who has a newborn identification bracelet will count as 1 of the 3 visitors.
