A few years ago, Tim Lewis of Coshocton, Ohio, had trouble doing most things. He was morbidly obese, suffered from emphysema and had trouble sleeping. He was constantly out of breath and could barely walk from room to room in his house.

Taking a worn-down, broken muscle car and transforming it into a flashy fresh ride takes time, skills and finances, but John Rusinko and his wife Haddi say it’s worth it.

To help us navigate some basic information about arthritis, we caught up with Nina Couette, D.O., a rheumatologist with the Genesis Medical Group. 

Duane Pool, M.D. told Elizabeth about the minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures that would allow her to bypass a second open heart surgery.

Sherry’s mammogram revealed a suspicious shadow on her right breast, so she received a biopsy at the Genesis Cancer Care Center.

When Mary came to Genesis Wound Care Center for an unhealed wound, Dr. Zerkle suggested using an ActiGraft kit. Once ActiGraft was in use, Mary's wound healed.

 Dr. Amor performed a posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF) on patient, Ernie Decot of Junction City. “This surgery took care of things that had bothered me for years,” Ernie says. “I used to hunch over. I can stand up straight now. It feels so good. I can also walk straight now."

With both knees gnarled by arthritis, Nancy Walsh knew that if she wanted to lead an active life, she’d need two total knee replacement surgeries.

Dr. Harasaki diagnosed Rebecca with cervical myelopathy and radiculopathy, meaning she suffered from a pinched nerve in the spinal column. After surgery, Rebecca's neck pain is gone, and quality of life restored. 

Remington suffered an acute lateral patellar dislocation, as well as an injury to the kneecap’s cartilage. After knee surgery and a six-month recovery plan guided by Dr. Trinh, Remington is back on the field.
