If you need immediate care or you don't have a primary care physician, Genesis FirstCare is here for you every day to treat illnesses and injuries for your entire family. It could be a cold that's gotten worse, a minor injury or a persistent sore throat. It doesn't matter how minor your illness or injury, Genesis FirstCare makes caring for you the first and only priority.

FirstCare only treats illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention but are not life-threatening. If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 right away.

You may be referred to the Emergency Department for appropriate care if you have any of the following complex conditions that are outside the scope of treatment and resources at the FirstCare location:

  • Trouble Breathing
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Blood Clots
  • Weakness
  • Stroke
  • Numbness
  • Kidney Stones
  • Chronic Pain
  • Severe Headache
  • Head Injury
  • Dizziness
  • Any Pregnancy Problems
  • Swollen Extremities with No Injury
  • Abdominal Pain
  • Persistent Vomiting
  • Lightheadedness

Monday through Friday | 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday | 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

FirstCare-New Lexington
Monday through Friday | 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Closed Sunday

For your convenience, you can now schedule same-day appointments in MyChart. Look for "Find Care Now" and select Genesis FirstCare on Maple Avenue in Zanesville or in New Lexington to find a time that works best for you.

Holidays

Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and July 4th.

Closed Christmas Day and Thanksgiving.
