When you’re in the hospital, it’s comforting to know a physician can be at your bedside quickly—someone who’s dedicated to you while you’re here. At Genesis Hospital, a team of specially trained hospitalists is on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure you’re getting the best care possible.
What is a Hospitalist?
Hospitalists work solely in hospital settings and have the same education and training as other physicians. Some have additional training and certifications.
At Genesis, the hospitalist team specializes in family practice or internal medicine, working with your primary care doctor to make sure proper care and treatments continue after your hospital stay.
Specialized Hospitalists
Genesis also offers six pulmonary and critical care specialists who treat critically ill patients. These specialists treat patients experiencing trauma, shock, respiratory failure and heart attack.
