Genesis Hospital awarded highest Overall Star Rating

Genesis Hospital has been recognized with a Five-Star 2024 U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating. Genesis is one of the top 8% of hospitals in the U.S. to earn five out of five stars.

CMS evaluated hospitals using five categories:

• Readmission

• Patient experience

• Timely and effective care

• Safety of care

• Mortality rates

Overall Star Ratings show how individual hospitals scored compared to hospitals nationwide. The results provide patients with information to review hospitals when seeking the best healthcare.

The 2024 Overall Star Rating process began with 46 quality standards CMS reports on Medicare.gov. The 46 items were grouped into five categories. The final rating for each hospital is ranked from one to five stars. Over 4,600 hospitals were included in the national study.
