Advanced Directives Assistance
Genesis Spiritual Care offers help with advanced directives. Advanced directives are legal documents that allow you to spell out what kind of medical care you'd want if you were too ill or hurt to express your wishes. If you need help with advanced directives, call Ann Vannoy at 454-5859 to schedule a time to talk with us. You can reach us Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Chapel at Genesis Hospital
Weekly Mass is celebrated at St. Francis Chapel most every Tuesday morning at 7:15am. All are welcome! To confirm if Mass will be held in a given week, or with further questions, please contact our Mission Department at 740-454-5994.
The new St. Francis Chapel is named in honor of St. Francis of Assisi and is open to everyone of all faiths for prayer and reflection. St. Francis, a humble, poor man, is popular among Catholics, Protestants and non-Christians. St. Francis chose to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, live the gospel and rekindle the love of God – the same spirit the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity embrace.
The Sisters donated the chapel and have served in health care in Zanesville and the surrounding areas since 1900. You’ll find our sisters in Mission and our chaplains in Spiritual Care conveniently located next to the chapel on the first floor of Genesis Hospital. The chapel is open 24/7 as a place to come for prayer and reflection.
St. Francis Chapel Features
- Stained glass window from Good Samaritan Hospital
- New furnishings and San Damiano Crucifix
- A convenient location next to Mission and Spiritual Care
We’re here for everyone. Chaplains are also available to community members, by appointment. You can reach Genesis Spiritual Care Services at (740) 454-5859.
