The first hour after the onset of symptoms or injury is called “The Golden Hour” because it’s recognized that the sooner trauma, stroke or heart attack patients reach expert care – particularly if they arrive within 60 minutes of the onset of symptoms or injury – the better their chance of survival. Every minute matters.
